This campground was great! Super close to the lava flow trail. We stayed on a trip driving from petrified Forest to the grand canyon, this was the mid way point. The camp hosts were DELIGHTFUL. Driving around in their golf cart, making sure everyone was taken care of and situated, they were so sweet. The sites are big, trees are a little sparse but everything is spacious enough that you don't feel overcrowded. Site 26 was on a little bit of a slope. I don't remember the one across from it but it looked very secluded! The ground is made of very fine black lava rock "gravel", I don't think I've ever stayed on it before. Kept the kids relatively clean. Also no critters running around getting into food, yay! Bonus- bathrooms were the cleanest ones I have ever visited!

The camground hosts, Frank and Sandy, are delightful! They are very welcoming, helpful and organized. They even brought us banana cake for our anniversary! The grounds are very well kept, and the bathrooms are spotless and fresh-smelling. There was no excessive noise and no drama. This is the best NFS campground we've been to, by far.

This is a beautiful campsite. I was in site 11 and it was long enough for my trailer and my truck end to end. I did not have to unhook. The host was very nice and accommodating. Love this place, and I will be back.

The campground is spotless, the camp host CJ, Frank and his wife are absolutely lovely people. We had the best time staying here with beautiful weather. The location is perfect, close to national monuments and flagstaff. Enjoy the nature with no cell service.

We loved this campground. We were in site 13 which was close to the shower house. I don't think you could chose a bad site. All sites are hard surface and have a fire pit and enough trees to remind you that you are in the forest. Nice loop to walk with dogs or kids. Easy in and out after making our reservations via reservations.gov.
