I've been coming to this campground for a few years now. It is a beautiful quiet site. We saw a bald eagle catch a fish in the lake. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. The only complaints: our site 37B was really lacking for shade. But the bigger complaint: there was no firewood to purchase. Times before, you could buy bundles of firewood from the campground manager. This year they didn't have any and we were suggested to scavenge for wood. My advice, buy the wood you'll need in Williams.

We did not stay here but have dispersed on the road on the way in. I have to say that the hosts were incredibly helpful when we had an urgent critical missing and they definitely jumped into action and helped us and were looking and asking questions as people drove in and out. They took my phone number and stayed in contact. The results were unfortunate and did not end the way we had hoped. I just wanted to make sure that the Kaibab forest and other campers are aware of the diligence on their part and how it made us feel better that we were not alone on our difficult task. Thank you. God bless you and all your workers.πŸ™βœοΈπŸ’•πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²

Dogtown isn't as far on dirt roads as Whitehorse. There is an $8 day use fee, thanks to the new contractor and nightly camping fees still apply, see my picture. As of 7/5/26 the water is considerably down. Osprey still circle the lake and hunt for fish. Its a no body contact lake, which sucks. People fish here so look for hooks. There are pit toilets. No showers.

Love going here for camping trips. Surrounding area is absolutely beautiful and the dispersed camping spots are even better. If you're questioning it, don't, just go. You won't be disappointed

Our first time ever camping. We found a great location. We camped 1 night only. We were not properly prepared for the freezing weather at night but it was a great experience Regardless.
