Angel Village Cafe is the lunch spot at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, a few minutes outside downtown Kanab, and it's become a stop in its own right for anyone passing through on a Grand Canyon North Rim trip. The plant-based buffet rotates daily but always covers a main dish, sides, a salad bar, and dessert, with water, tea, and coffee included — all for $5 per person. Eat inside or take it out to the deck, where the view opens up over Angel Canyon and the surrounding red-rock hills. We were recommended to stop here by friends on our road trip. It’s at the end of a short dirt road - no problem for our 25ft travel trailer and plenty of parking, though we were surprised just how popular this cafe is! It’s situated with a gorgeous overlook into Angels Canyon! Our two well behaved pups were welcome on their outdoor patio. The food was plentiful and delicious and a steal at only $5 each for the buffet. They post their menu on IG. The brownies and coffee were also great, alongside the couscous, spaghetti,salad, bread rolls etc etc! Staff were so welcoming. Definitely stopping here again if we are passing nearby. Thank you

What a great place to eat! Food was so good and fresh. And the view from the outside patio is truly amazing. I could have sat out there all day. If you’re looking for some really good vegan food and a great view, stop in here.

We always have a great meal here! It’s so delicious and I always appreciate having a large salad with so many toppings. (You can have an entree and sides too.) Today we lucked out with our lunch coinciding with the sanctuary update talk being given, so we listened to stories of the animals here and the good work that Best Friends accomplishes. Thank you for all that you do, Best Friends!

The best vegan cafe/buffet I've ever been to. The food is very affordable and located at the Best Friends Animal Society. The most comforting place to eat cruelty free food. The cafe had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with amazing views of Utah's Angel Canyon and mountains. I will definitely visit this place again the next time I am in Utah.

We were visiting Kanab and stumbled upon this gem. Angels cafe is operated by Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. As a family of vegans and animal rights activists this was the best holiday we had because not only was the all vegan food delicious and sumptuous but the whole atmosphere was super warm and friendly. To top it off it’s just $5 per person for the unlimited lunch buffet which includes salad, main course and dessert. We loved their food so much that we purchased their cookbook! After lunch we spent all day at the sanctuary with rescue animals. Today we had the best thanksgiving meal at this place as well. Coming back again soon!
