About

Beaver Street Brewery is a Flagstaff institution for a reason: wood-fired pizzas, house beer, and a menu with more range than the typical brewpub. It sits downtown, about 80 miles south of the South Rim, making it a solid stop for anyone routing through Flagstaff on the way in or out of the canyon.

What to order

The wood-fired pizzas are the headline — reviewers single out the bruschetta pear pizza — but the kitchen goes well beyond pies. The Beaver Burger and steakhouse burger both get called out, as does the Pork Belly Banh Mi, honey brussels sprouts, and even a clam chowder that's better than you'd expect from a brewery. Pair anything with a beer flight to sample the house brews, which reviewers rate among the best in Arizona.

  • Rating: 4.4 stars from over 3,600 Google reviews
  • Price range: $$ (moderate)
  • Hours: 11:30 AM-9 PM most weekdays, 11 AM-10 PM Friday and Saturday
  • Extras: adjacent billiards hall and a patio for outdoor seating

Service consistently draws praise as attentive and knowledgeable, and the patio is a nice spot to linger. A few reviewers note the building itself — floors, wood paneling — could use updating, but it doesn't seem to slow anyone down. Come hungry and expect a wait on weekend nights; this is one of Flagstaff's most popular dinner spots.

I just had a beer but my friend ordered a salad. It came fast and she enjoyed it. It's a young crew but very friendly.

We were really disappointed in our food and service here. It seemed like a pretty popular place and was full of people on a Saturday evening but we waited almost 30 minutes for our drinks and the food was just ok.. nothing great, i mean it looked delicious but it wasn't. There was water in the bowl under the raviolis and not enough sauce to go with the giant bowl. The sandwich lacked flavor and was really dry. The corn dip and chips were pretty good though lol. The outside patio was also really nice and even the inside looked pretty cool as we walked thru. I'd like to try again to see if it was just a bad day.
