The female staff member was excellent. The food was generally delicious. However, perhaps because there weren't enough staff, we couldn't get in even though there were empty tables, as long as it wasn't our reservation time.

Fine-dining restaurant & bar for steaks, burgers & other hearty mains, plus salads, sides & a kids' menu.
Desert Lounge + Grill is the fine-dining option tucked inside the Squire Resort in Grand Canyon Village, serving steaks, burgers, and other hearty mains alongside salads, sides, and a kids' menu. It's a step up from the village's quick-service spots, with a full bar and a lounge atmosphere that reviewers consistently call a highlight.
The menu leans classic supper-club: think a shareable steak, pasta dishes like chicken cacciatore and bucatini, Caesar salad, and a rotating seafood entree. Portions run generous — one reviewer described the steak as huge and perfectly cooked — though experiences vary night to night, and a few diners have flagged inconsistent seasoning or slow service during busy stretches. Rating: 3.8 stars from 500 Google reviews, a solid but mixed record worth going in with reasonable expectations.
Not the flashiest meal near the South Rim, but a reliable sit-down choice if you're staying at the Squire or want something more substantial than a cafeteria tray after a day on the rim.

Myself and my daughter dined in and were pleasantly surprised. I ordered the sea bass, and my daughter ordered the steak. Both were very flavorful, especially the steak. The service from our server, Lily, was phenomenal. She was very helpful. Would come back again on our travels.

The food was mediocre at best. I ordered a chicken Caesar Salad. The dressing was the consistency of mayonnaise and tasted very strongly of mayonnaise as well. The chicken was dry and unseasoned. The others in my group has lasagna, pizza, and chicken Alfredo. None seemed fresh. After spending over $100 for dinner, we opted for a quick run to McDonalds. Save your money and time and do not go there. FYI, it’s in the lobby of the Squire Hotel.
