Flagstaff Brewing Company
Casual brewpub serving burgers & other grub, plus handcrafted ales & an extensive whiskey selection.
About
Flagstaff Brewing Company holds down a corner of Historic Route 66 in downtown Flagstaff, pouring handcrafted ales alongside a burger-and-pub-grub menu and a whiskey list deep enough to wander. It's a classic brewpub setup — a warm, spacious room with big windows letting in the Arizona sun — and the hours run late: open until 2 a.m. every night of the week.
What to order
Reviewers keep circling back to a few dishes: the poutine, served in a portion big enough to share, the BLAT, and the Black & Bleu burger with fries. The handcrafted ales are the headline, but the extensive whiskey selection gives it more range than most brewpubs if beer isn't the draw for you.
Know before you go

With 583 Google reviews and a 3.5-star average, service is the wild card here — recent reviews describe curt or dismissive bartenders on busy nights, while others (including one who called out a friendly, helpful server) had no complaints at all. The food and beer list are the reason to go; expect better odds earlier in the evening than right at closing.

Nice bar, fairly priced drinks, and a variety of menu offerings. The Babbaganouj Pale Ale was surprisingly tasty. A nice place to hang if you need a break from walking downtown Flag.

My wife and I took a vacation and came into Flagstaff to see Not Dead Yet the Grateful Dead cover band. The venue was very nice, the 4 trees and the table arrangements make this a comfortable place to see a show. While we were there, there were 2 bartenders. 1 was a taller guy with long hair and a mustache. He was really cool. The other bartender was shorter abd darker haired. He was rude and pretty disrespectful. I understand sometimes having a bad night but this guy was definitely mad at something and it crossed over into his job. He ruined the experience all together. It was my birthday weekend and we were up there last year at the same time and had a much different experience. We left early this time as I wasn't going to continue to be disrespected by the bartender.

Great location but unfortunately the bartender is extremely rude and driving business away. We came in a 8:30 and were told the kitchen was open for another 30 minutes, as we were looking at the menu we were told to “hurry up”, when we asked if they had Guinness the bartender laughed at us and told us to read the menu. Unfortunate experience especially given the rather kind nature of people in flagstaff.
