Forêt Flg

Parisian-leaning brunch counter in downtown Flagstaff

About

Forêt brings a French-leaning breakfast and brunch counter to downtown Flagstaff, about 80 miles south of the South Rim — a good detour on the drive in or out of the canyon. Order at the counter, grab a table inside or on the patio, and your food comes to you. The pastry case and espresso menu lean Parisian, but the breakfast burrito is the dish reviewers keep coming back for.

What to expect

The vibe is casual and unhurried, with a full espresso list plus beer and Bloody Marys for anyone easing into the day slower. Regulars point to the breakfast burrito, the waffle, and the steak and eggs as standouts, alongside patisserie items and a corn salad that get called out for flavor. One review joked the seasoning runs a bit heavy — a sign the kitchen doesn't hold back.

  • Hours: daily, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Rating: 4.4 stars from 433 Google reviews
  • Location: 2 S Beaver St, downtown Flagstaff

Seating is first-come, first-served and the small dining room fills up, so expect a wait — reviewers mention 30-40 minutes at busier times. Worth the patience if you're passing through Flagstaff on a Grand Canyon trip and want a real breakfast instead of a drive-through.

Been wanting to try this place for awhile. Finally had the chance on a roadtrip. This is a French cafe with delicious, unique brunch foods. It's situated downtown in an old, rehabbed building. We shared the savory waffle. It was a crispy waffle stuffed with prosciutto, spinach, bacon, and topped with poached eggs, drizzled in maple syrup. Yum. It had a bit of a bite to it, I think red chili flakes, but endurable. We washed it down with fresh squeezed orange juice, spectacular. I love trying something new, and this place delivered. It also features coffees, a bakery, and sandwiches. The waffle was $24, so it's not Denny's, but worth it. If you are cheap like us, split it. Seating is indoors and out. Once again, the geezers chose outside, due to the rule that restaurants have on playing loud blaring music. However, if you are reading this in July, please note that due to the Pocket fire, you will smell smoke in the air. Loud music or smoke? We chose smoke. Very important, come for breakfast, brunch or lunch, as this place shuts down at 3. I will definitely come back for lunch, but wait for the literal smoke to clear.

You’re going to wait forever for food and it’s going to be worth it, just don’t come here in a rush! The avocado toast was absolutely delicious & my husbands chicken sausage and egg plate was also perfectly executed. I love how they had gluten free options for me.

The cafe had a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, but the coffee tasted too watery and was bland.

The food here is very good! They have a decent selection of sweet and savory items on the menu and a full selection of espresso drinks. The wait was a bit long for food - 40mins, but the wait didn’t seem to bad. This restaurant isn’t very big, so getting a table to sit at took a bit as well.

The place is good! It’s very “flavorful”, the seasoning is a bit too much. The breakfast burritos were really salty. Would recommend the Parisian Club out of all things the table ordered.
