About

Goldies Route 66 Diner is exactly what it looks like from the sidewalk: a retro 1960s-style diner on the main drag through Williams, booths and counter seating included, with the kind of classic American breakfast-lunch-dinner menu that makes it a reliable stop before or after the drive up to the South Rim. It's earned a 4.2-star rating from over 4,000 Google reviews, which is a serious volume of feedback for a small-town diner.

What to order

Reviewers consistently point to the burgers as the reason to stop — juicy, cooked to order, and paired with fries that get called out specifically for not being the "cheap frozen" kind. The patty melt, fish and chips, and a classic BLT all get mentioned favorably, and more than one review recommends finishing with a milkshake. Service gets praise as friendly and "top notch" in most accounts, though a few reviewers note it can be inconsistent when things get busy.

  • Price range: budget-friendly ($)
  • Hours: open daily, 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM
  • Location: 425 E Route 66, Williams — an easy walk on the historic downtown strip

It's a fun, unfussy diner rather than a destination restaurant, but for a Route 66 breakfast or a burger after a day at the canyon, it delivers.

Wir waren dort Frühstücken, der Service war etwas langsam aber dennoch gut. Das Essen war sehr lecker und für einen angemessenen Preis. Ambiente war typisch für ein gutes Route 66 Diner. Wir würden wieder kommen :)

Such a cool experience. Food was great, staff was amazing and it was a great stop “along the way”
