Casual throwback with 1960s styling offering classic American breakfast, lunch & dinner eats.
Goldies Route 66 Diner is exactly what it looks like from the sidewalk: a retro 1960s-style diner on the main drag through Williams, booths and counter seating included, with the kind of classic American breakfast-lunch-dinner menu that makes it a reliable stop before or after the drive up to the South Rim. It's earned a 4.2-star rating from over 4,000 Google reviews, which is a serious volume of feedback for a small-town diner.
Reviewers consistently point to the burgers as the reason to stop — juicy, cooked to order, and paired with fries that get called out specifically for not being the "cheap frozen" kind. The patty melt, fish and chips, and a classic BLT all get mentioned favorably, and more than one review recommends finishing with a milkshake. Service gets praise as friendly and "top notch" in most accounts, though a few reviewers note it can be inconsistent when things get busy.
It's a fun, unfussy diner rather than a destination restaurant, but for a Route 66 breakfast or a burger after a day at the canyon, it delivers.

Cool old school diner which I feel is holding them up. I had a bad experience. Server took way to long for every part of the process minus when I came time to pay. They were quick with the check. I order a chili burger and to cook the meat to medium. Chili was no good barley any flavor at all. I mostly just tasted to raw onion in there. The meat was no where close to medium it was done as well done. Definitely am not coming back to this diner again on the next route 66 trip.

Great food but it was a bit lacking on service. It may have been the event on the day we went.
