Grand Canyon Brewery

Sours, prickly pear brews, and comfort food in the heart of Williams

About

Grand Canyon Brewery is Williams' answer to a good brewpub — a big, family-friendly space with a 4.2-star rating across 57 Google reviews, and the kind of menu that covers both the beer nerds and the kids fighting over the arcade games. Reviewers keep coming back for the sour beer lineup and the prickly pear IPA and wheat, both distinctly Arizona.

What to order

The food holds its own against the beer list. The Santa Fe Chicken sandwich comes with a full grilled breast rather than a skimpy cutlet, the wings and fries get called out as some of the best travelers have had anywhere, and the fried cheese curds and fried bread with caramel show up in more than one review as the things people wish they'd ordered sooner. Taco Tuesday specials pop up too. Sandwiches are priced fair but don't include sides, so plan on adding fries.

  • Vibe: casual brewpub with an indoor waterfall, stream feature, and arcade games — built for families as much as beer drinkers
  • Happy hour: reviewers mention $4 beers
  • Parking: a large lot with Tesla superchargers on site
  • Location: Cataract Lake Road in Williams, next to a couple of hotels and across from an RV park

There's a patio for warmer days, and service gets praised more often than not, though a couple of reviewers noted it can be uneven on busier nights. Good stop on the way to or from the South Rim, and easy to make a longer night of if you're staying in Williams.

We called ahead because we had a crowd of 17. They immediately accommodated us and the food was fantastic.

Pizza was really good and I'm from the Chicago area. Good beer, good bourbon. Highly recommend

Daughter and I ordered the Santa Fe Chicken sandwich which had large grilled chicken breast, no skimping here. It was very flavorful. Prices are average as sandwiches do not include sides. We ordered fries which were extra crispy the way we love them as well as the fried cheese curds. This order was to go and the hostess was most gracious with condiments and plasticware. Great atmosphere, cute outdoor patio. Definitely will be back. Conveniently located next to two hotels and across from RV park.
