About

Grand Canyon Brewing + Distillery sits in a timber-clad building in downtown Williams, and it pulls double duty as both a working brewery and a distillery, with a gift shop up front and a patio out back. With a 4.0 rating from over 1,200 Google reviews, it's one of the more consistently well-reviewed stops on the Route 66 strip.

Food and drink

The menu runs pub-standard — burgers, fries, pizza, calzones — with reviewers singling out the Indian fry bread taco and a meat lovers calzone described as crunchy outside, soft and flavorful inside. Beyond the beer, the distillery side has its own following: reviewers who've toured dozens of distilleries nationwide rank the cocktail flights and blue corn bourbon among the best they've had, and the tasting menu includes flights of both aged spirits and mixed cocktails.

Good to know

  • Hours: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM daily
  • Price range: $$
  • Vibe: mountain-cabin decor with a working fireplace, TVs for game days, and a dog-friendly interior

Service gets mixed notes on busy shifts, but the food, house beer and spirits, and easygoing atmosphere keep people coming back — a solid stop for a meal or a flight while passing through Williams.

The food was not great. Waitress was good. Atmosphere was good. Food was like the McDonald's of breweries.

We stopped in for dinner after visiting the Grand Canyon. The pizza was amazing! And we were able to take our family dog inside with us. Our waitress was amazing!

These shrimp tacos were absolutely delicious, with perfectly cooked shrimp, warm tortillas, and a creamy sauce. The salsa tasted authentically homemade, bright and zesty with just the right kick. Paired with a cold alcohol-free beer, it was a refreshing combo that really let the taco flavors shine.
