Half coffee shop, half distillery tasting room, Grand Canyon Distillery Spirits & Coffee House is the kind of only-in-Williams stop that catches people off guard in the best way. Mornings it runs as a straightforward espresso counter; afternoons and evenings it flips into a spirits bar pouring house-made bourbon and flavored moonshines, all inside a steampunk-chic room that regulars and first-timers both seem to love.

Coffee or cocktails

Reviewers keep coming back for two very different reasons. The coffee side gets called out for its prickly pear white mocha latte and whiskey barrel blend beans, while the spirits side is known for its flight of flavored moonshines — apple pie and prickly pear are the two that show up again and again in reviews as favorites. A Canyon Old Fashioned and other bourbon cocktails round out the bar menu, and staff have a reputation for friendly, attentive service and solid recommendations for newcomers.

Worth noting if you're bringing kids along for morning coffee: the decor and menu lean toward the distillery side of the business, so it's more tasting room than family cafe once the afternoon pour starts.

Staying at the RV park, we had to try the local distillery. My husband had their bourbon and I had a Canyon Old Fashioned that the bartender sweetened a bit more for me (I'm not a straight bourbon kind of girl.) Then I wanted to try a flight of their flavored alcohols. And unbeknownst to me my favorite was the Apple Pie Moonshine. Doesn't that sound like it would be wonderful with apple cider? And the bartender also suggested caramel syrup with it. She was amazingly helpful and attentive - thank you, Emily! We had a wonderful time and plan to return for morning coffee! Update - the coffee is amazing! Prickly pear and white mocha latte was excellent and we both love the whiskey barrel blend, which we got fresh beans to go since we enjoyed it so much. Thank you!

My wife and I had a great time tasting with Tara, she made the experience what it was. Enjoyed the tastings, her personality and knowledgeable conversation is what made the relaxing outing what it was.

My partner and I enjoyed the spirits. I personally loved the prickly pear and apple pie moonshine. Unfortunately, we had no room in our checked bag to grab any bottles.

We came here for coffee on a Saturday morning. The vibe inside was steampunk chic (is that a word?). Adorable. Outside they had a nice patio area that we sat in for a bit. The person working the counter was personable and gave some recommendations for drinks and things to do in the area. This is a distillery and spirit tasting room in the afternoon and evening so if you bring kids in with you for coffee, know that the decor is slanted toward the distillery side. Excellent experience (and very reasonably priced). I highly recommend.

This was one of our best distilleries we have ever experienced! Misty and the team here were all amazing! We were visiting from Atlanta and were welcomed like family. The liquor/cocktails are all incredible, and we ended up buying multiple bottles to bring home. Their coffee is also amazing, with a wide variety of options and flavors available. We will definitely be coming back whenever we visit the area again!
