A reliably good dinner stop in Williams, on the way to the South Rim
Grand Canyon Inn, Restaurant & Lounge is a dinner-and-a-nightcap kind of stop in Williams, the Route 66 town most travelers use as a base before or after the drive up to the South Rim. It's built for the tourist crush without feeling like it — 4.0 stars from 525 Google reviews is a big sample size for a small-town restaurant, and the reviews lean heavily toward dinner service.
The dinner menu is where this place earns its reputation: reviewers repeatedly call out the ribeye and chicken fajitas as standouts, along with a shared plate of wings, salmon, and a veggie burger that one table declared "the best ever." Save room for the tiramisu — it comes up by name in more than one review as the meal's finishing move. Breakfast gets more mixed marks, with a few guests noting slow coffee refills, so this is best treated as a dinner (and lounge) destination rather than a breakfast stop.
It's not fine dining, but for a last-night-in-town supper or a break from park food, it consistently outperforms expectations for a highway-adjacent restaurant and lounge.

First off great service. Our waiter is Jaun in a million.(He told me it was okay to call him that) The food was impeccable. The veggies were delicious and the pork chop was perfect. Everyone in my group raved about the food and service. The dessert was diabolical. Way too good. 10/10 we will be back.(Drove all the way from North Carolina and regretted nothing)
