About

Grand Canyon Wine Co. is a small, easygoing wine bar right on Route 66 in downtown Williams, pouring boutique wines made with local Arizona grapes alongside beer flights. With a 4.8 rating from 194 Google reviews, it's become one of the most consistently praised stops in town for travelers passing through on the way to or from the South Rim.

What to expect

The move here is a flight — a set of six 1oz pours, offered in red or white, tasted in an order the staff arranges to bring out the best in each glass. Reviewers repeatedly single out the staff by name for knowing their wines without being pretentious about it, walking through each pour and offering pairing suggestions along the way. The space itself is described as cozy and quaint, the kind of low-key setting that makes a good pause on a longer road trip. Food isn't made in-house, but is available from the bistro next door for anyone who wants to turn a tasting into a full stop.

  • Location: 138 W Route 66, Williams — easy to fold into a walk down the historic downtown strip
  • Hours: open daily, 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
  • Good for: a relaxed tasting flight, a low-key evening out, or a road-trip breather between Williams and the Grand Canyon

It's not a quick grab-and-go — plan to sit with a flight for a while and let the staff walk you through it.

I had a wonderful experience at Grand Canyon Wine Co.! Rachael was incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. I asked for recommendations based on my love of white wines, red and white blends, and sweet wines, and she created a unique, flavorful wine flight that was perfectly tailored to my tastes. Every selection was delicious, and I appreciated the thought and care she put into choosing each one. Her knowledge and friendly personality made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend stopping by and asking for Rachael if you’re looking for a personalized and memorable wine tasting experience!

The staff welcomed us as soon as we walked inand there was space for 4 adults and a toddler to sit. The atmosphere was relaxing and chill, and we was surprised to learn we could order from the pizzeria next door (Station 66). This made it the perfect place for a stop on our trip back from the Grand Canyon. Jesse helped us make wine selections which were all local or in-house produced. It really helps when someone knows the wine and how to match up with your preferences. We also tried some beer from Historic Brewing, which is another local joint. Overall, we were incredibly impressed by our experience and will definitely make another stop when we're in the area

On a weekend trip my wife saw this place and had to stop, glad we did. Gina was a fantastic host and fun to talk to, inside was a comfortable place to hang out. Nice selection of local'ish wines from AZ.
