Industrial-chic spot for upscale bar fare with craft beers & house cocktails, plus outdoor seating.
Historic Brewing Barrel House sits right on Railroad Ave in downtown Williams, an easy stop for anyone passing through on the way to the South Rim. It's the Williams taproom for Flagstaff-based Historic Brewing Company, done up in an industrial-chic space with a big corner bar, rustic wood touches, and a patio for outdoor seating when the weather cooperates. With a 4.2 rating from over 1,600 reviews, it's one of the more consistently well-liked stops in town.
The move here is a beer flight — reviewers point to the Piehole Porter, Every Night Special Black Lager, and Lumberjack Morning Snack as standouts, alongside lighter options like Sol Dorado. On the food side, wood-fired pizza gets consistent praise, along with lasagna and pub-style bar fare. Order at the bar rather than waiting for table service, and note that water and condiments are self-serve.
It's a solid lunch or happy-hour stop if you're routing through Williams before or after the Grand Canyon Railway, or just breaking up the drive north from Flagstaff.

Piehole Porter was outstanding, tasted like a cherry cordial in beer form! Bear Arms (Imperial Stout) and the Munich dunkle were also tasty, look forward to coming back and seeing what else they come up with 🙂

Great beer selection and bar food. Little on the pricey side but very nice place.

A one-hour wait, and two out of the seven plates served were cold. We asked for a refund. They didn't even offer the drinks on the house.
