Fresh-baked bagels and coffee, Kanab's favorite morning stop
Jakey Leigh's is the bagel-and-coffee stop Kanab locals and Grand Canyon-bound travelers both swear by. It's a small counter-service cafe and bakery doing everything fresh each morning — hand-shaped bagels with real chew, flaky pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and espresso drinks that regulars come back for daily. With a 4.2 rating from over 1,000 reviews, it's one of the most-reviewed breakfast spots in town, and reviewers consistently point to the same things: bagels baked fresh on site, a smooth espresso pour, and a crew that's friendly even when the small dining room fills up.
Kanab sits roughly 80 miles from the North Rim, making this a solid fueling-up stop before or after the drive up Highway 89A and Highway 67, and it doubles as an easy breakfast stop if you're routing through Kanab toward Zion or Bryce on the same trip.

I stop by sometimes for a blueberry muffin, since they have the best one around. But yesterday I added a coffee drink. I was a little leery because I wasn't expecting it to be that good (ordering decaf espresso drinks is always a crapshoot) but it was SO GOOD. Perfect, in fact. The woman helping me was friendly and efficient. Thanks so much, ladies!

Me and my boyfriend were staying in kanab for only a few days and we came to this cafe only a few times and the owner made it a point to remember us and start up conversations as if we were locals she sees everyday not only was that extremely refreshing the food and coffee is amazing and got me through my morning!
