Kachina Lounge

Route 66 steaks and live music, kachina dolls on every wall

Williams, AZ

About

Kachina Lounge is the steakhouse-and-lounge side of the historic Kachina Room in Williams, a Route 66 town about 60 miles south of the South Rim. It's a supper-club kind of place — dim lighting, live music some nights, and walls lined with kachina dolls that give the room its name and its unmistakable character.

What to expect

Reviewers consistently point to the steaks and lamb as the reason to come, along with a few dishes that show up again and again in praise: prime rib on Fridays, French onion soup, a chipotle-pesto spin on spinach dip, and bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers stuffed with a full grilled shrimp. Service gets called out as attentive and well-paced even for groups, and more than one visitor mentioned settling in for a long, unhurried dinner.

  • Hours: daily, 4:00-9:00 PM
  • Rating: 4.2 stars from Google reviewers
  • Atmosphere: lounge/supper-club setting with live music and dense kachina-doll decor
  • Location: Historic Route 66, Williams

It's a dinner destination rather than a quick bite — plan to eat, not just pass through, especially if you're already in Williams for the Grand Canyon Railway or a Route 66 evening.

Food is great. Service is fantastic. Pleasant dinner atmosphere. No complaints at all. Prime rib on Fridays is always good. Lamb is also fantastic. French onion soup is awesome. Try the bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers with a full grilled shrimp in them, Amazing!

Outstanding service, clearly experienced and able to assess the timing, needs, and direction of our group. Very nicely done meals. We had an excellent twist on the old spinach dip, with a Chipotle pesto kick. Excellent steaks and lamb. Very nicely done.
