Classic 1931 hotel with a Hollywood past, offering a casual restaurant, a pool & free parking.
Parry Lodge has been putting up travelers on Kanab's main drag since 1931, and it's one of the few places in town where the history isn't a marketing gimmick. Dozens of Western films were shot around Kanab in the mid-20th century, and the stars stayed here — John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Maureen O'Hara, the Rat Pack. Some evenings the old barn on the property still screens a movie that was filmed in the area, a nice touch that reviewers consistently call out as a highlight rather than a novelty. At 4.5 stars across more than 1,000 reviews, it's one of the better-reviewed stays in town.
Kanab sits roughly 80 miles from the North Rim, making Parry Lodge more practical as a first- or last-night stop on a longer loop through the region than a same-day North Rim base — but it's a genuinely worthwhile stay in its own right, film history and all.

I am adjusting my review because the morning receptionist Rebecca was amazing and even came to my defense with the other employee from the night before was literally harassing me for daring to report her. Management took care of the issue with the unprofessional employee very swiftly. They also said they would be working on updating things soon:) I'M BEYOND LIVID! After a long journey we arrived to a very unprofessional woman at the counter on Sat. June 13th, 2026. She gave a long winded rant about how although I was charged already they can't seem to get the money from booking.com. She went on and on about how ridiculous it is for people to book through 3rd party sites and they spend more money. I have been booking through them for over 10 years and have never had this issue. I give her my husbands card for the $1 incidental charge and they charge us a $95 charges. So this one room as now cost us over $200!! Not to mention the fact their pool is broken, their ice machine is broken and the lights flicker with the AC goes on. Run away from this place as fast as you can!! So sad, because when we first drove up I was so charmed but everything has gone downhill from there. Starting with the woman at the front desk at her unprofessionalism.

It’s older. And that is what I loved about it. Like a Route 66 motel. Clean and reasonably priced. Outstanding location for the parks

We stayed here as a pit stop between visiting Zion and Bryce National Parks. It is such an adorable place. The town was great and more of a slow pace. The hotel was so fantastic and the morning breakfast was worth the stay! The staff was great.
