About

Pine Country Restaurant is a family-run diner and bakery on Williams' main drag, the kind of spot locals and road-trippers both end up at because the pie case by the register is impossible to walk past. It's a nostalgic setup — 50s/60s-style booths, a gift shop up front, and a changing menu of homemade pies alongside classic comfort food.

What to order

Reviewers keep coming back to the pie — one called it "exceptional," enough to save an otherwise so-so meal. On the savory side, the pan-fried Pollock (served with fries and a side salad) gets singled out as the standout dinner plate, and the chicken fried steak has fans too. Breakfast draws praise as well, with waffles and perfectly cooked bacon and eggs mentioned by more than one visitor. Portions run generous, and dinner entrees typically come with two sides — the loaded potato is worth choosing over the canned-tasting corn.

Service is a strong point too — Sergio is one server reviewers have called out by name for being attentive and quick with the food. It's straightforward diner cooking done well, and a smart stop if you're passing through Williams on the way to or from the South Rim.

Well a place where we have told people to go to for some of the best pies made. Well that has changed. We ordered lunch a Pot roast sandwich to share. The sandwich was only 4 inches, and the sweet Potatoe fries were pathetic, cold and rediculously thin. Now to the the desert. I ordered a cherrie cheese cake and told the elderly lady at the counter which cheese cake I would like and also my wife wanted German Chocolate. I went to the men's room to wash up. When I came back the desert was not delivered. I told the waiter ai ordered desert and he said it was coming. Sir I ordered it awhile ago. He became rude and went and spoke to the same lady I ordered from who was sitting on a stool and no customers around. So she wasn't busy. They were kind of mocking me. But I did not get the cheese cake I ordered, I received the deformed Cherrie Cheesecake. They did not care. My cherrie Cheese Cake was terrible. My wife makes a better cherrie cheesecake. Now the German Chocolate cake my wife said was extremely dry. This place has gone down hill. Or maybe we just had terrible food, but I will never recommend this place to anyone again. I will not be back. Now I have pictures of they were not uploaded it is because there was no option to attach photographs.
