I love the food, outdoor seating, and service! The biscuits and gravy and Mexican coffee was amazing. Brought a group of 7 here and everyone approved. Reasonably priced and delicious!

Downtown Flagstaff's mole-driven breakfast favorite
Puebla Sunrise Café is a relatively new addition to downtown Flagstaff's breakfast-and-brunch lineup, and it's already earned a devoted following — a 4.8 rating from nearly 400 Google reviews is hard to come by for a spot this young. Mole is the house specialty, made in-house by the family that owns the place, and regulars call it some of the best in the state.
The menu leans into both Mexican breakfast classics and American brunch staples. Reviewers point to the mole chicken omelet, chilaquiles, and a carnitas cemita with well-rendered, crispy-tender pork as standouts, alongside café de olla and a lineup of pancakes, waffles, and Nutella crepes for anyone craving something sweeter. Coffee refills come often and the salsa verde gets called out for being well-balanced rather than just hot.
It's walkable from most downtown Flagstaff lodging, which makes it an easy stop before or after a day trip to the South Rim, about 80 miles north. Service is consistently praised as attentive, and portions run generous, so come hungry.

Wow the pancakes and waffles here were off the scale, so amazing. I particularly loved trying the café de ollo (which was a free sample) one of the lovely staff members even showed me the type of sugar that is used to make it. Highly recommend coming here! Muchos gracias, estuvo delicioso!
