Sego Restaurant is Kanab's upscale dinner spot, serving refined New American plates alongside microbrews and craft cocktails in a warm, modern dining room. It's the kind of place regulars point visitors to when they want a proper night out after a day on the road to or from the North Rim, about 80 miles south. The menu leans toward shared plates, with reviewers singling out the duck, Arizona beef, pork chop, sticky ribs, duck lo mein and Dan Dan noodles, plus a banana bread pudding worth saving room for. At 4.7 stars from nearly 1,000 reviews, it's regularly called out as one of the best tables in town, though a few diners have noted slower service on busy nights.

Had an unbelievable meal at Sego. Very unique dishes packed with flavor and a blend of some of the best cuisines. Thanks to our server Derek for great recommendations. Pork belly and watermelon perfectly balanced flavor, heat, and the refreshing cool of the watermelon. Highly recommend! Street food xoi was one of the most unique dishes I’ve had, still not positive what all was in it, but it was great. Goat cheese and mushroom toast I thought was okay, the homemade cheese was really good. My wife really enjoyed this dish, recommend if mushrooms and goat cheese are up your alley. GET THE DUCK LO MEIN! Highlight of the meal for me, although all of the dishes were very good. The duck was so tender and perfectly cooked and went perfectly with the house made lo mein. Banana bread pudding was nuts. Soooo good. All of the drinks we had were also awesome. Awesome to find such a great restaurant while on an adventure through southern Utah. If you’re anywhere near Kanab, be sure to make your way to Sego.

The best dinner we had in Kanab! Don't understand the reviews faulting portion size - we were surprised at how much food we were served. Started with a perfect local gin martini and the grilled Caesar - a small head of romaine, halved and perfectly grilled with muy boquerones! Then we had the aguachile scallops - stunning and perfectly seasoned and a special of Thai beef salad served on shredded lettuce and a small *steak*! served medium rare sliced over the greens. Stellar service, we sat outside so often had a bit of a wait, but who cares with such a great view. Surprisingly affordable, as well. Definite recommend!
