Historic hotel bar with pub classics near the Grand Canyon Railway
Spenser's Pub is the bar attached to the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel in Williams, built around a genuinely old back bar that's worth a look even if you're just passing through. It's a pub-food menu rather than a full steakhouse spread, which suits its role: a place to grab a solid meal or a beer after stepping off the train rather than a destination restaurant in its own right.
Reviewers keep coming back to the Reuben sandwich, and the Canyon Pie — a shepherd's-pie-style dish — gets called out as flavorful, if a bit light on meat. The draft beer list draws praise too, and if the local honey is on offer, ask for a sample before you buy. Expect sandwiches and appetizers rather than heavier entrees; it runs more lunch-and-evening pub fare than a dinner-reservation kind of place.
Service reviews are mixed — most visitors report a solid pub experience, though at least one reviewer described a long wait tied to the bar running short-staffed. For hotel guests, it's an easy, no-walk option; for anyone else in Williams, it's a convenient stop for a sandwich and a local beer before or after a Grand Canyon Railway run.

Nice place. Take a pass on the wings. The sandwiches and the penne pasta were good. Nice selection of local beers. Waitress was very attentive.

Great place to have drinks and super friendly staff. Unfortunately, the food was horrible. The wings were okay. Both son and grandson left the pizza. The Italian sub wasn’t edible. The homage chips were so stale. The chicken Cesar salad wasn’t edible either. The romaine lettuce was wilted, the chicken had a foul smell. I was so surprised that such a nice pub, had the audacity to serve food like this. If you’re just having drinks, I highly recommend it. For food, don’t waste your time and money. So disappointed.

The ruben sandwiches were very good, so we had them on 2 nights. Also had the Canyon Pie one night (like Shephards Pie), which was quite flavorful but was lacking in meat. A nice variety of draft beers which were good, and we also bought some local honey! Ask for a sample, it is DELICIOUS. Overall a good choice, but not superb.
