Taro Coffee Bar sits right in the middle of downtown Kanab, and it's become the town's favorite stop for a properly made espresso drink before or after a Grand Canyon North Rim run. Hours are limited and worth planning around: Taro is open Thursday through Sunday (Monday too, with Tuesday and Wednesday closed), generally from 7 or 8am until 2pm. Get there on the earlier side — it's a small shop, and the good stuff has a way of running out by mid-morning.

The service was very friendly and upbeat. I bought a hot chocolate and it tasted like warm milk with a hint of chocolate. My wife got a cold brew with ruby chocolate. She said it was delicious. And their raspberry Danish was flakey with just the right amount of preserves. Overall it was a very nice atmospheric coffee shop right in the middle of Kanab.

We did a 14-day road trip, but we had by far the best coffee of the entire trip here. The ratio of milk to espresso in the cappuccino was perfect. We were also served so kindly. We even stood and chatted for a bit about the area and where we came from. A really nice place with friendly people!

Best coffee we had while In town! Staff was friendly and hooked me up with all the ice! 10/10 recommend stopping in!

I was thrilled to visit this spot! As advocates for local businesses, we prefer to support independently owned establishments rather than chains. However, I might not have communicated my order clearly because all I wanted was an iced coffee with vanilla flavor. I typically enjoy it super sweet, but as you can see in the photos, it turned out to be just regular coffee. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish it and ended up getting my caffeine fix from a nearby gas station. On the bright side, everyone else in my group loved their drinks, so perhaps I just needed to clarify to the barista that I was looking for something much sweeter instead of just a hint of flavor.

One of our best coffee's during our trip in US! Taro is amazing as well as chocolate chip cookies. The service was fast and friendy.
