The Porch
Flagstaff's go-to brewery and bar for pub food with a kick
About
The Porch is a lively brewery-and-bar spot in Flagstaff serving pub food with a Southwest twist, and its 4.2-star rating across 266 reviews points to a place locals treat as a reliable go-to rather than a tourist trap. The vibe leans casual and social — think games on the screens, background music, and a bar staff that keeps the pace up.
What to order
Reviewers keep coming back to a handful of dishes: the pickle burger, a warm soft pretzel with dipping sauces, the Nashville-style crispy chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries, and Shanghai wings tossed in an "atomic" sauce. There's a rotating lineup of local brews on tap alongside standard bar staples like Guinness, and the tortilla soup gets a nod too.
- Hours: 11am–10pm Monday–Thursday, 11am–midnight Friday, 9am–midnight Saturday, 9am–10pm Sunday
- Style: casual brewery/bar with a full food menu, good for groups watching a game
- Location: Forest Meadows St in Flagstaff, easy stop before or after a day at the canyon
It's the kind of place that works for a quick bite mid-road-trip or a longer stay to catch a game and split a few appetizers — multiple reviews single out attentive service as a reason they'd return.

A few days ago, my coworkers, their families, and I decided to try The Porch because we thought it would be a nice place to eat. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a very disappointing experience. The service was only okay. Our server rarely came to our table, and we had to wait a long time for water and our food. The biggest issue was the food. One of my coworkers was served spoiled meat that had a terrible smell, and another coworker received undercooked chicken. My own meal was also not enjoyable. This was completely unacceptable and made for a very unpleasant dining experience. Overall, we had a terrible experience and will not be returning. Based on our visit, I can only give this restaurant 1 out of 5 stars. If you choose to eat here, good luck—I hope you have a much better experience than we did.

My family of four ate at The Porch on 6/27 for dinner. It is a friendly atmosphere with good food options. No complaints about the food. The service was decent. A few missing items in our meal that our wait person either rectified or took off the bill. My biggest issue with this establishment is that they add a 3% service fee PLUS a 3.25% credit card fee to the bill. And there is no obvious signage that lets you know of these fees in advance. I get that minimum wage laws are squeezing restaurants, but this is a product of their own strategy to have customers subsidize wages. The credit card fee for a larger business with multiple locations is really annoying. What's next? Dish washing detergent fee on my bill?

I met a friend there. It took the server about 11 minutes to come greet me and give me a menu. It took another 11-12 minutes for him to come back to get my order. He was helpful in recommending dishes as well as knowledge. My food was good, but it was a bit too sweet for me. He never came back to check in. No one came over to refill my water...the server was too busy with the other tables around who had more people. When I did get my food, I asked the person for napkins...and I got bar napkins, not food napkins and a lot of them. When I gave the server my debit card to pay for my bill, I never saw that there was a 3.5% charge to run a debit card. That's ridiculous! The amount of food for the price was not satisfactory. Because of my experience there, I will not go back and neither will my family.

This is an interesting place, lively place, but its very cold here, the prices do not match the portions, for a night out this is fine but for dinner I do not recommend it. The service could be better
