The Station Café and Lounge

Gluten-free paninis and espresso on the way to Snowbowl

(198)
$$$$Flagstaff, AZ

About

On Fort Valley Road toward Snowbowl, The Station Café and Lounge covers Flagstaff's espresso stop by morning and shifts into a low-key beer-and-wine lounge as the day goes on. Reviewers consistently single out the gluten-free kitchen — the panini bread and cinnamon roll come up again and again as better than the standard version, not just a substitute.

What to order

Espresso drinks earn steady praise, with reviewers calling out a well-balanced cinnamon cream latte and creative seasonal specials from the bar staff. On the food side, the Lumberjack panini (corned beef with an onion sauce) gets repeat mentions, and the s'mores bar is a favorite grab-and-go treat. Once the coffee rush thins out, the space shifts into its lounge side with a local beer and wine list.

Every so often the good reviews here on Google fails me. The food here was definitely not worth the price. $15 panini and literally just 2 slices of thin meat (see picture). $7 cappuccinos were quite weak. 2 coffees, 2 under whelming sandwiches and a small bowl of soup plus tip for $65. The cashier’s screen also pressured me to tip, of course this is common these days even though I had to come back up to pick up my food, and the table I sat on had crumbs all over it from the last customer and I had to bust my own table and return my baskets after eating. Not sure what I just tipped for.

Traveling from Texas and looking for a quick breakfast, I found this hidden gem. Everything was amazing—the Humphrey sandwich, the chai, and the cinnamon rolls were all incredible. The service was excellent, and every bite exceeded expectations. Truly just wow. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

I just had to gluten-free about 2 months ago. I have been so sad lately because I couldn't eat pastries or bread anymore. Gluten-free bread or pastries usually are just cardboard...no soft fluffy layers just dense tasteless cardboard! BUT...I came here today and almost cried when I had the cinnamon roll...the bread is exactly like regular fluffy soft bread!!! So delicious and life changing!!! Who ever is the creator of the gluten-free bread and pastries is a freaking flipping Genius!!! Thank God for you!!!

Food was meh, only half heated up and seemed like they didn’t care much about the product. Coffee was good, restroom was clean, service was fine.

Noah is hands down the BEST! Every drink he makes is creative, delicious, and made with so much care. He has an incredible talent for coming up with unique flavor combinations that are both fun and amazing. You can tell he's passionate about what he does, and his positive energy makes every visit even better. I always look forward to seeing what new creation he'll come up with next! If you have the chance to get a drink made by Noah, don't miss it—you won't be disappointed
