What a wonderful way to end the first day of our Road Trip from AZ to Big Sky, MT! Tavez was our server and deserves AT LEAST 10 stars! He quickly picked up on our vibe and interacted perfectly with us all night. We are are trio: me, hubby and MIL. We enjoyed cocktails to start the night and Tavez quickly explained UT pour laws (1.5 oz…WTH??) but appreciated the heads up. Tavez was great to explain the menu and offer suggestions. Two of us ordered the Pistachio Chicken and I had the Trout. Both dishes were amazing! And everything else we saw come out of the kitchen looked just as tasty. We ended the night with Caramel Cheesecake (another suggestion from Tavez - along with Key Lime Pie but we’ll have to try that next time!) and it was delicious! MIL was only going to have one bite but we ended up sharing it three ways ‘cuz it was that good! Great place! Highly recommend and ask for Tavez…he really elevated our experience!

We both ordered the Little Hollywood mocktail and it is the best mocktail I have had. It's not too sweet and has actual fruit puree in it. Then we got the Wild Sliders and could not believe the flavor balanced in the sliders and in the burger patties. Phenomenal. For my main I got the Green Chili Penne and added the pistachio chicken to it. Again, the balance of flavors was spot on and the pistachio chicken is definitely worth the hype here. My husband ordered the bacon wrapped meatloaf and we were both surprised at how well the mole and pico played with the perfect meatloaf (and the veggies were cooked flawlessly-most restaurants overcook asparagus and serve the woody bits, but you could tell the veggies were grown locally because they were picked at peak ripeness). For desserts I could not pick so we ordered the carrot cake to eat at the restaurant and the key lime pie to go. The carrot cake again is balanced so well. The cake is spiced strongly, but the super tangy cream cheese frosting make the spice just right. I haven't tried the key lime pie yet, but I could smell the lime through the to go container so I know it is going to be delicious. The restaurant is truly something special and if you are in the area and only have one meal I highly suggest you eat that meal here! It far exceeded my expectations and if I find myself in the area again this will be my first stop.
We tried the other location and though it wasn’t the best, we decided to give this one a try.
We had a Mediterranean Salad, Sliders, Elk Burger & a Wild Thyme Pasta and everything was actually really good.
The staff were really nice and checked on us ever so often.
I ordered a cappuccino and saw an affogato at the other table and ended up overdosing on coffee. It was def worth it… 😆
Even though the other location has some amazing views, this one did have a couple red mountainous views too and we preferred the vibe here than the other one.
After leaving Zion Park and heading to Page, we passed through this small town and found this restaurant on Google Maps. The menu offered a wide variety of choices, and the ingredients were fresh. Every dish looked delicious when served, truly appetizing. We finished everything—this is the best way to honor great food 🫡. There's nothing better than treating yourself to a satisfying dinner after exploring Zion Park (sorry, I only remembered to take photos after we started eating). If I ever pass through here again, I'll definitely stop by this restaurant once more.
Kanab is a charming, tidy little town and a great base for visiting nearby national parks. We decided to try this restaurant based on its solid Google Maps rating. It’s a typical American-style eatery with a pleasant setting.
We ordered the Pistachio Chicken and Elk Burger, priced at tourist rates ($29 and $24, respectively). Both dishes were decent, though nothing exceptional. Considering the limited dining options in the area, this place is often recommended as one of the better choices in town.
A heads-up: they charge a 3% fee for credit card payments, so it’s wise to bring some extra cash. We also felt a bit uncomfortable when our waitress stood and watched us while we paid and selected a tip—starting at 20%, by the way.
Overall, if you’re in Kanab and looking for a reliable meal, this might be a reasonable option.
