Dreamland Safari Tours runs guided trips out of Kanab into the high-desert backcountry east of town — The Wave, South Coyote Buttes, White Pocket, and the slot canyons, pictographs, and dinosaur tracks scattered through the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness. This is permit country: The Wave itself is capped by lottery, and guests who don't draw a permit still come away impressed, since Dreamland's guides route around to comparable sandstone formations like South Coyote Buttes and White Pocket that don't require winning anything. Guides handle the 4x4 access, the route-finding, and the geology lessons along the way.

Our experience with Dreamland Safari Tours was nothing short of exceptional. Our guide, Katherine, truly loves what she does—and it shows in every detail. She was engaging, knowledgeable, and made the entire trip feel effortless on our part. We did the overnight trip to White Pocket. The meals were simple yet absolutely delicious, and they thoughtfully accommodated food preferences without hesitation. We genuinely appreciated how they wouldn’t let us lift a finger, allowing us to fully relax and take in the experience. Communication was clear from start to finish, with well-explained expectations and timelines that made everything run smoothly. And the scenery—just incredible. We were promised an amazing sunset, sunrise, moonrise, and breathtaking views in every direction, and White Pocket exceeded every expectation. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a seamless, memorable adventure.

My friends and I were looking for something to do last minute in Kanab and decided to do the Peek a Boo Canyon and White Wave tour. We were a little hesitant, but this exceeded our expectations by far and ended up being a highlight of our trip to Utah! Our guide, Paula, was full knowledge about the canyons and also able to give us some photography pointers for making sure our pictures were perfect! There were a few times on the hike that I was a little unsure and Paula was so encouraging and patient. Highly recommend Dreamland Safari Tours and especially Paula!

There's not much I can add to the glowing words that are being said of Dreamland Safari Tours. Every 5-star review is true. The only thing I could add is that I am a repeat customer, and highly recommend Dreamland. I and my friends took a tour with them two years ago to South Coyote Buttes when we did not win the lottery for The Wave and got Natalie. This year, we booked the White Pocket tour and got Ben. Both experiences were wonderful. The vehicles, guides, service, communication are top notch. We felt safe, confident and taken care of the whole time. They truly take care of their guests and are knowledgeable, fun and kind.

I just got back from my third tour with Dreamland Safari tours. Andrea was our amazing guide for the Grand Staircase Dream Tour. This trip had the most amazing scenery I have seen in Southern Utah. Andrea made it a delight with her knowledge and some amazing hikes in some slot canyons. Every tour I have taken with this tour company has been amazing and professionally ran. I recommend this company to all my friends. Keep on doing your amazing work, because I have a lot more tours to take. Sue S.

I did a day-long tour of White Pocket with a work group with Dreamland Tours. Jaron was an amazing guide! He was patient, kind, attentive, and allowed us to set the pace of our own tour. He was knowledgeable about the surrounding area as well as The geological significance of the landscape. Spending a day out there with him was so easy to do. 10 out of 10 would recommend!
