Flagstaff Ghost Tours & Haunted Pub Crawls

Flagstaff's haunted history, told by guides who know it cold

(123)
Flagstaff, AZ

About

Flagstaff's Route 66 downtown has more than its share of century-old buildings, and this walking tour leans into every creaky floorboard and flickering light among them. Run by US Ghost Adventures, it's built around local lore and documented history rather than jump scares, and it consistently pulls a 4.9-star rating across 122 reviews — an unusually high mark for this kind of tour.

What the tour covers

Guides lead small groups through downtown Flagstaff's historic core, weaving in the town's railroad and Route 66 past alongside its ghost stories. Reviewers repeatedly single out specific guides by name — Phoenix, Linda, Renee, and Eli all get called out for knowing the history cold and telling it well, with one reviewer noting the stories come from "local accounts and witness from tours and locals" rather than a script. Several reviewers mention bringing kids along without issue, including a 9-year-old who reportedly enjoyed it as much as the adults.

  • Location: 8 E Route 66, in the heart of downtown Flagstaff
  • Hours: daily, 10:00 AM to midnight
  • Good for: couples, families with older kids, and anyone who wants Flagstaff history with a spooky angle rather than a haunted-house scare tour

Tours run regardless of group size — one reviewer noted their guide still ran a full tour for just two people — so it's a reasonable add even for a small party looking to fill an evening in town before or after a canyon trip.

We had a tour with Phoenix. She was great! The information was detailed and fun! All of our questions were answered in detail. There was great conversation and a lot of laughs.

Before booking our tour, read many reviews and a tour guide named Linda kept coming up with rave reviews. We were excited when Linda was our tour guide for the evening! We had a small group of six and Linda was very personable even before we started. I had booked the extended tour starting at 8pm that was supposed to last about 90 minutes. She was highly informative with each point of interest, very detailed surrounding the occurrences and personal experiences she had. Answered every question we had and kept us on intrigued with every step. But you can tell she loved what she does. She was not in a rush. She gave us a great tour. Other than having to wait for a train to cross the street, our tour lasted over 2 hours! If you book a tour and Linda is you guide, you are in for a real treat and an experience you won't soon forget!
