Fort Tuthill County Park
Sprawling area with archery & equestrian facilities plus trails, fairgrounds & an adventure course.
About
Fort Tuthill is a sprawling 413-acre county park just south of Flagstaff, and it's less a single attraction than a whole recreation complex packed onto one property. Between the fairgrounds, archery range, equestrian facilities, and a web of trails, there's enough here to fill an afternoon or a whole camping weekend — and it holds a 4.7-star rating across nearly 3,800 Google reviews.
What's on site
- Trails and bike park: reviewers single out the mountain bike park as a standout, with terrain running from beginner-friendly to genuinely technical jumps and berms, plus hiking trails through the pines.
- Disc golf: a full course used regularly by the local disc golf club.
- Fairgrounds and equestrian grounds: home to county fair events and horse-related activities, plus an archery range.
- Campground: water/sewer hookup sites and dry sites, generator power (no electrical hookups), vault toilets — reviewers note it's quiet on weeknights and busier Friday and Saturday.
In winter, part of the park turns into a seasonal snow-play area with lit sledding lanes on weekend evenings. Right next door — a separate business, not part of the county park — is FLG X Adventure Course, a ropes-and-zip-line operation reviewers often mention visiting the same trip.
- Hours: park grounds open daily, 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM
- Location: 2446 Ft Tuthill Loop, just off I-17 south of downtown Flagstaff
It's a working county park more than a polished visitor attraction — expect trailheads and ballfields over gift shops, and bring your own plan for what you want to do once you're there.

Great park. It’s unfortunate one has to travel so far for real parks in Arizona

Clean and mostly quiet. Exception was the damn airplane circling overhead at 6:30 am

Great campground. We go here regularly for beer festivals and it's always well maintained and organized. Good times.!
