It is a beautiful Arch and very isolated. Often when we visit we are the only ones there.

A backcountry arch you earn with a 4x4 and a sense of adventure
Inchworm Arch sits out in the sandstone backcountry south of Kanab, and getting there is half the story. This isn't a roadside pullout — it's a genuine 4x4 destination reached by miles of deep sand road that winds through juniper and slickrock before dropping you at a small parking area. From there it's a short walk down the hillside to the arch itself, with plenty of surrounding rock formations worth poking around if you've got time to spare.
Once you're there, it's a quiet, uncrowded spot — several visitors mention having the arch entirely to themselves. Rated 4.7 out of 5 across dozens of reviews, it's become something of a word-of-mouth favorite for Kanab-area explorers looking to get off the pavement. Pack good shoes for the sand, allow a half-day round trip, and treat it as an adventure-driving destination as much as a photo stop.

Google Maps will not take you to the Arch. We walked roughly 4 miles up, then 4 miles down a steep, deep sand road. Only the strongest 4WD will get you here. Pay for an app better than Google Maps. Carry a Sat Phone.

Using the onX app and our trusty jeep rental, we found our way to Inchworm Arch. The roads were adventurous! The sand was not very deep for us, but when you start getting really close, the road/trail is pretty narrow with ruts and bursh and would be hard to pull over to let oncoming traffic pass. The pitch and roll of the jeep both clocked in over 20° in places. The branches are trimmed so we didn't scratch, but they were very close! Once we got to the parking area, we didn't see anyone there. You travel down the hill a ways and head either far left to come down across from the arch or a little to the right to come down behind the arch. The day was gorgeous with blue skies and made for some beautiful pictures. It would be fun to climb around the area and follow some of the paths we say, but we had other stops to make in the wilds outside of Kanab.
