Jacob Hamblin Park
Amenities include a playground & splash pad along with a picnic pavilion, BBQs & fire pits.
About
Jacob Hamblin Park is Kanab's central city park, and it's a genuinely good stop if you're breaking up the drive between the North Rim and points north. The circular layout puts a playground, splash pad, picnic pavilion, and open field all within sight of each other, so parents can let kids burn off energy without losing track of them. Shade trees, grassy lawns, and landscaping frame the whole space with the town's red rock backdrop behind it.
What's there
- Playground with a rubberized surface and a shade structure over the play equipment
- Splash pad for hot-weather cooldowns
- Covered picnic pavilion with BBQs and fire pits
- Basketball courts, biking paths, and a water fountain for refilling bottles
Reviewers rate it 4.6 out of nearly 750 ratings, and several mention driving well over an hour just to spend an afternoon here. The park sits near Kanab's public pool and has a large parking lot, making it an easy stop for a quick leg-stretch or a full picnic before continuing on toward the North Rim, Zion, or Bryce.

Small clean park.

Super fun park for the whole family! Lots of room to have big groups and plenty to do! Rubber chips instead of wood chips too, so no more painful falls. Plus the splash pad is a great plus!
