Jacob Hamblin Park is Kanab's central city park, and it's a genuinely good stop if you're breaking up the drive between the North Rim and points north. The circular layout puts a playground, splash pad, picnic pavilion, and open field all within sight of each other, so parents can let kids burn off energy without losing track of them. Shade trees, grassy lawns, and landscaping frame the whole space with the town's red rock backdrop behind it.
Reviewers rate it 4.6 out of nearly 750 ratings, and several mention driving well over an hour just to spend an afternoon here. The park sits near Kanab's public pool and has a large parking lot, making it an easy stop for a quick leg-stretch or a full picnic before continuing on toward the North Rim, Zion, or Bryce.

This park and playground are incredible for being in such a small town. Perfect place to let littles get wiggles out on long trips. The material they use around the playground is awesome, rubber chunks about 6 inches deep.

So the park itself is really fantastic. We really love the circular sort of layout and the way that you could pretty much see every area of the park from any area that you’re sitting for your children are always within your view. The only suggestion is for some awnings over the park benches And for an awning near the splash pad and more seating by the splash pad benches. There’s very little seating over there and very little shade. It would be really nice for parents watching their kids at the splash pad especially parents are very young children to have a place to sit like some picnic tables or something over in that Area. And then the bunches that surround the place structure are rarely in shade maybe for like an hour first thing in the morning, but all afternoon they’re in full sun, and it is really difficult to sit and watch your children from metal benches in full sign in southern Utah! So awnings for the benches and an awning and more seating by the splash pad, but we love every other aspect of this park! Including the proximity to the pool and the proximity to the parking lot and the big open field and the lovely little desert garden and the biking paths and all of the covered picnic areas that are sort of up by the basketball courts and stuff and we drive all the way from Page Arizona to enjoy this park which is over an hour, there’s always plenty of parking and there’s a water fountain where you can refill your water bottles which is also really fantastic. It would be nice if there is maybe some vending machines for snack or drink options that are not inside the pool area and then like I mentioned earlier the Awnings over the seating areas.

Such a fantastic park. It has multiple playgrounds, big grassy areas, a splash pad, ballfields, a skate park, a mountain bike, track, and well lit sidewalk areas as someone who plays Pokémon GO, it has a lot of PokéStops and gyms as well.

Beautiful local park with plenty of shade trees, grassy areas, thoughtful landscaping, nestled before red rock mountains. Playgrounds and water. Extremely clean and well maintained.

This is the most beautiful playground I have ever seen. Large playground equipment with shade structure, mature trees and beautiful landscaping, multiple picnic tables with their own grill and lighting. To top it all off it’s surrounded by beautiful mountains.
