I'd say a bit too civilized. I wish I could actually explore. Pretty large for around here.

This sandstone erosion cave once served as a speakeasy & now houses a rock collection & gift shop.
Moqui Cave is a natural sandstone erosion cave just north of Kanab that spent an earlier life as a speakeasy before it became one of the area's most unusual roadside stops. Today it houses a rock and fossil collection, a small museum of regional history, and a gift shop, all tucked inside the cave itself. It's an easy, air-conditioned break from the road if you're working your way toward the North Rim on Highway 89, about an hour before you'd start the long push down Highway 67.
Reviewers are split on whether the fee is worth it for the museum alone, but the consensus is that it's a fun, offbeat pit stop with real geologic and pioneer-era history behind the novelty. Rated 4.2 stars from over 2,300 visitors. Open 9 AM to 7 PM Monday through Saturday, closed Sundays.

Highly recommended! Be sure to do the walk to the sand caves as well!

This is absolutely a first stop you should do before all of the national parks in Utah. Amazingly curated, good souvenirs. Staff are well acknowledged and nice to take you to a little tour.

A really interesting place. Glad we made the stop. Parking was easy. $7 entry fee was well worth it. We got the interesting back story from the friendly staff and enjoyed looking at the collection of gems, fossils & memorabilia. The cave was nice & cool - way bigger than expected.
