Stone shelters & replica dinosaurs at a highway visitor attraction themed around "The Flintstones".
Raptor Ranch is what happens when a 1970s roadside classic gets a second life. The property started as Flintstones Bedrock City, a Stone Age-themed rest stop with concrete dinosaurs and slanted stone huts, and it's still standing — but the new owners layered a working birds-of-prey center on top, and that's what visitors talk about now. With a 4.2 rating from over 1,800 reviews, it's become one of the more memorable stops between Williams and the South Rim.
Kids run wild through the old Bedrock City sets — the brontosaurus slide, the stone shelters, the picnic benches — while the real draw is the hands-on raptor encounters. Staff bring out falcons, hawks, and owls for up-close interaction; reviewers specifically mention holding an owl, meeting an aplomado falcon, and getting one-on-one time with a Eurasian eagle owl, guided by handlers who clearly know the birds by name and personality. Multiple reviews single out the staff for taking real time to answer questions rather than rushing groups through.
It's not a wildlife sanctuary in the serious sense — it's a roadside attraction that happens to do bird encounters well. Budget an hour or so, more if you book a raptor session, and don't skip the soft serve on the way out.

Best pizza on the way to the Grand Canyon

We stayed here for our visit to the Grand Canyon. We loved the store and it had everything we needed. Our kids spent sometime each day playing in Bedrock. It is free anytime the store was open if you are camping here. The campground was nice also. We had the needed room for our setup.

The kids loved being able to run and look at the buildings and go down the slide. We had so much fun here. Visit this place if the Flintstones were part of your childhood. Sometimes it's the simple things you enjoy the most.
