About

Seven Canyons is the golf course Sedona golfers bring up unprompted. Set inside a residential community of single-family homes and townhomes, the layout plays through red-rock terrain with the kind of backdrop that has players stopping at nearly every tee box for a photo.

What to expect

Reviewers consistently single out the scenery and conditioning — one called it "hands down the most picturesque course in the U.S.," with greens kept in exceptional shape and staff described as friendly and helpful throughout the pro shop and clubhouse. It's a target-style layout from the back tees, with plenty of risk-reward and wind that can make club selection tricky. A clubhouse restaurant serves the course for food and drinks after the round.

  • Rating: 4.5 stars from 234 Google reviews
  • Style: target golf through red-rock canyon terrain
  • Setting: part of a residential golf community with homes and townhomes lining the course

One thing worth knowing before you go: cell and wireless service is spotty to nonexistent out on the course, though carts come GPS-equipped and can have food delivered out to you. Call ahead for tee times and current green fees, since pricing and access details are best confirmed directly with the club.

Seven Canyons Golf Club is a gorgeous course in Sedona, Arizona. The views and red rocks are almost too beautiful to be real. There is a great variety of holes including our favorite hike 14 were you drive the cart partially up one of the mountains for a perfect oar 3 hole (video). They provide water not only in the cart but also in coolers you find along the course. The driving range is also amazing. We highly recommend this course even in the summer (often 15 degrees cooler than Phoenix).
