A small, spotless motel that overdelivers on Flagstaff's Route 66 strip
Castle Rock Hotel is a small, family-run motel in Flagstaff that consistently punches above its price range — a 4.6 rating from 243 reviews, with guests again and again calling out how clean the rooms are. It's the kind of place where the details are handled: fresh towels, a Folgers coffee pot in the room, and a staff that actually seems to care.
Reviewers describe crisp, modernized rooms with comfortable king beds, strong AC and heat, and the ability to cast to the in-room TV — small touches that stand out at this price point. Several guests specifically mention feeling safe and well taken care of by a small, attentive team, with more than one saying the place runs like a nicer hotel than its category suggests.
The hotel sits on South Milton Road, Flagstaff's main commercial strip, putting you within a short walk of restaurants — including a nearby tiki bar and grill guests flagged for good food and drinks — and roughly a 20-minute walk to downtown Flagstaff's Route 66 core.
Not a resort — a well-run, well-reviewed motel that consistently delivers more than its rate suggests.

We came to this town on Route 66 and really liked it. We stayed at this hotel and you can stay here with peace of mind. I stayed with my family, the rooms were clean and safe.
