I truly do not even know where to begin. Over the weekend, I was proposed to at Clear Sky Resorts, and the entire experience was beyond anything I could have ever imagined. Every single member of the team went above and beyond to create a moment that felt thoughtful, personal and completely unforgettable.
From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. The entire staff was warm, kind, informative and attentive, including Malek, our bellhop, who made us feel so welcomed. Around sunset, we were taken on a beautiful hour long horseback riding tour through the open desert with Violet, who was nothing short of loving and exceptional. She took the time to photograph us as we were riding along. Riding through the desert as the sun set over the horizon already felt like something out of a dream.
When we returned, I walked into the most unbelievable surprise. The team had created an entire private tent and area just for us, complete with rose petals, champagne, cowboy hats, candles and so many thoughtful details. Nicole, the assistant manager, was incredible throughout the process, and James, the main manager, helped make sure everything went smoothly and perfectly. Their care and attention to detail made the moment feel effortless and deeply special.
After the proposal, we were taken to a private dinner in one of their dining domes, where Chef Andrew prepared a custom three-course dinner that was truly world-class. The meal was beyond anything I could have imagined, including the most incredible marry me chicken marinated in Fresno chili infused honey mustard. Coming from Las Vegas, where hospitality is such a major part of what we do, I can honestly say this experience was on another level. Kevin, our waiter, was so attentive and kind, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening while still allowing us the privacy to enjoy the moment.
The dining dome itself was beautifully decorated and even included a custom candle with our names and the date to commemorate the occasion. The attention to detail was out of this world, literally and figuratively. To end the night, Craig led us through a private stargazing experience, taking the time to point out galaxies, constellations and some of the most unbelievable sights in the night sky.
It felt like a fairytale. It felt like a dream. It was the most unbelievable proposal experience I could have ever asked for, and I will never be able to thank the Clear Sky Resorts team enough for the care, creativity and thoughtfulness they put into every detail. They helped create one of the most special memories of our lives, and we will cherish it forever.
Don’t trust everything you see on social media. The location is beautiful and great for stargazing if you’re outside, but unfortunately, that’s about where the positives end.
We arrived at check-in time only to find that our room wasn’t ready. We had to wait an additional hour just to get inside. They did offer a complimentary drink for the inconvenience, but only one drink for my fiancée and me to share, which honestly felt pretty strange.
We also paid extra for a panoramic view room, only to discover that the windows were covered in dirt and clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned. At night, we could barely see anything through them, completely defeating the purpose of paying extra for the view.
What made it even more frustrating was that the owners happened to be staying in the room next to us during our visit. We watched employees pressure-wash their windows while we were left with filthy windows in the room we had paid a premium for. It certainly gave us the impression that regular paying guests don’t receive the same level of attention.
For the amount of money this place charges to stay in what is essentially a glorified tent, I honestly can’t recommend it. The concept is great, and the location has potential, but the execution and attention to detail just aren’t there.
Save yourself the money, bring your own tent, and find a nice local campsite. You’ll probably have a better experience for a fraction of the price.
Had an amazing stay at Clear Sky Resorts! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming from the moment we got there. Alex at the front desk was awesome and she also made great cocktails and Aubrey gave us a ride out to our dome in a golf cart, which was a fun touch.
The dome was super clean, comfortable. The whole glamping experience was better than expected, and the property had plenty of great amenities to enjoy like the Cinema Dome & jump pillow. The stargazing with Craig was absolutely incredible got to see things in the night sky with my own eyes that I've always wanted to see.
The horses were beautiful and added to the overall atmosphere of the resort.
Checkout was quick and easy, they helped us with our luggage, which we really appreciated.
We stayed at Clear Sky Resorts during our family April school vacation road trip through the national parks, and it was truly one of the highlights of the trip! Such a unique experience that combines adventure with comfort perfectly.
We were honestly impressed by how well designed and comfortable everything was. The dome had modern amenities like a rainfall shower, private bathroom, cozy beds, and a second-floor loft that our son absolutely loved.
The property itself has so much to offer for families — outdoor and indoor games, live music, on-site dining, horseback riding and evening stargazing tours with astronomers under the clearest skies. The atmosphere felt very relaxed, cozy, and special :)
What made the stay stand out was how different it felt from a regular hotel experience while still being luxurious and comfortable. Highly recommend!
I was underwhelmed with the stay. I stayed in the packman room. The staff was VERY great, nothing to do with them. However, a few things were problematic for us. First we found a dead rat inside the closet AC room that was supposed to be locked evidently. Second the toilet seat was loose and falling apart. Also the AC unit was pretty loud. Additional for 500$ a night they charged me for a coffee in the morning and no bottle water was provided. You figure for the price, cup of coffee would be included. They did provide a s'mores kit which was cool. Luckily I'm an early riser, because the resort started playing music at 7 a.m. which was clearly audible inside my tent. For whoever is a late sleeper I'm sure this would be an issue. I love music so it didn't bother me. It's funny because the following day I stayed at $125 cabin and it was way cozier than this expensive room. The sunset was beautiful so the Lord had our back on that end. Thanks to the hard working staff.
