Comfort Inn Flagstaff South I-17
Relaxed hotel with modern rooms & free WiFi, plus free breakfast & an outdoor pool.
About
The Comfort Inn Flagstaff South I-17 is a solid pick for anyone routing through Flagstaff on the way to the Grand Canyon's South Rim, about 80 miles north. It's a standard Comfort Inn on paper, but guests consistently note the property doesn't feel like it — the lobby and breakfast room lean into a log-cabin, ski-lodge look with a fireplace and pine-forest views, and the hotel sits up on a hill overlooking Flagstaff's Woodland Village neighborhood.
What guests mention
With a 4.5 rating from over 1,300 reviews, this is one of the better-reviewed chain hotels in town. Recurring themes: a genuinely full free breakfast (eggs, waffles, biscuits and gravy, a coffee bar), an outdoor pool and hot tub, quiet rooms, and attentive front-desk staff. The location near the south end of I-17 also puts it within reach of Lowell Observatory.
- Address: 2355 S Beulah Blvd, Flagstaff, AZ
- Amenities: free WiFi, free hot breakfast, outdoor pool, fitness room
- Good for: a comfortable overnight stop before or after a South Rim day trip
It won't be mistaken for a boutique property, but for a reliable, well-kept base in Flagstaff before heading north to the canyon, it consistently outperforms expectations for the price point.

Nice place to stay, rooms are fairly up-to-date and beds comfortable. My room was clean. Breafast by the fireplace was nice and relaxing before a long work day.

The dining area is a cabin setting. The view is so relaxing and peaceful. Come check it out.
