Comfort Inn Near Grand Canyon
Humble hotel offering a hot tub & an indoor pool, plus complimentary breakfast, parking & Wi-Fi.
About
This Comfort Inn sits right on Historic Route 66 in Williams, the walkable old railway town about an hour south of the South Rim — a solid, no-frills stop for travelers making the drive up to the canyon or wrapping up a trip. With a 4.2 rating from over 1,200 Google reviews, it's earned a reputation as a reliable overnight rather than a destination in itself.
What guests notice
Reviewers consistently point to clean, comfortable rooms with soft beds, strong Wi-Fi, and enough space to unwind after a long drive. The indoor heated pool and hot tub get called out as a nice way to decompress, and the property offers 24/7 coffee for early risers heading to the canyon. Bathrooms run on the tight side in some rooms, which a few guests mention.
Breakfast and location
The complimentary hot breakfast — scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles (including a gluten-free option), cereal, and fruit — comes up again and again as a highlight, with more than one reviewer singling out the breakfast staff for praise. The hotel's Route 66 location puts shops, restaurants, and the Grand Canyon Railway depot within walking distance, while still feeling a bit removed from the busiest strip.
- Address: 911 W Route 66, Williams, AZ
- Amenities: indoor pool, hot tub, free breakfast, free parking and Wi-Fi
- Good for: a comfortable, convenient overnight before or after a South Rim day trip
As with any budget-friendly chain, experiences vary by room and season — most guests report a clean, comfortable stay, though a few have flagged housekeeping lapses. Worth booking with reasonable expectations for a Route 66 highway hotel rather than a boutique stay.
