We had an overall decent stay at this property.
The Good:
✅ The Price: Weekday rates were quite reasonable. However, I personally wouldn’t find it worth paying $150+ per night during weekend nights.
✅ The Breakfast: A good variety of options including a waffle maker 🧇 with 🍁syrup, juice 🥤, bread 🍞 with jam and butter 🧈, ham, eggs, and coffee. It’s a satisfying breakfast to start your day, and the 6:00 AM start time is definitely a plus for early travelers.
The (Not So) Bad:
⚠️ Microwave: The in-room microwave seemed outdated—possibly from the 1960s—and struggled to heat food properly, taking about 5 minutes to barely warm a meal.
⚠️ Bathroom: While generally clean, the toilet bowl had visible stains likely due to long-term use, which was a bit disappointing.
⚠️ Air Conditioning: The room had an AC unit, but it wasn’t very effective at cooling. This could be uncomfortable if visiting in the hotter months of June, July, or August.
In summary, it was a decent experience, and I would consider staying here again if I can secure a similar price.
Excellent value for money. Of course, it's not brand new, but it was clean. The room was spacious and everything worked: TV, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, good shower pressure, comfortable bed, and very good Wi-Fi.
Breakfast included waffles, omelets, sausages, toast, and more. The welcome was friendly, and it was very quiet. With this level of value, I would definitely return.
For a family of 8 looking for a place to sleep on a long road trip for an affordable price is hard to come by, but thankfully there are hotels like this one who have a reasonable price because they're not as updated as the other competitors in town.
There are a lot of cosmetic issues (ie: old toilet, old carpet, old doors, lights, etc.) But they've got it where it counts! My kids were happy to sit and watch TV when we arrived and after I put away some cold food we brought with us in the mini fridge, we had microwave dinners(microwave is cheap and needs extra time to warm stuff up) before getting ready for bed. Unfortunately the pool area was unavailable, (to the disappointment of my kids who love to swim,) but we cheered them up with treats from a local store and spent the night in reasonably comfortable beds.
***If you have a toddler that can reach doorknobs, beware!! Mine was able to open the doors even when locked unless I applied the higher lock above the deadbolt that keeps intruders out....and toddlers in 😅 Also the door in the hallway that goes out to the busy street DOES NOT LOCK and is easily pushed open at toddler height. So keep an eye on littles.***
Have yet to try the breakfast...will update in the morning.
Update: 10/10 breakfast experience! The staff are very "on top of" keeping the breakfast area clean and stocked, tables and counters wiped down, etc. The variety is great too! Waffles, cereal, fruit, juices, sausage and eggs, bread and mini muffins.
Nice hotel within walking distance of downtown Kanab.
Terrible Hotel, highly DO NOT recommend!!! To start off, I could not understand the worker in the lobby over his Indian accent. Then the room was absolutely disgusting! Literally bugs in the bed, what appeared to be mold in the shower, damaged drywall, and the list goes on. This was honestly probably the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had! The building in general was disgusting and run down. This hotel needs some serious work. The second my we got into our room, I started looking for other hotels on Expedia and we just left and booked another hotel.
