About

The Hampton Inn Kanab is the reliable, book-it-and-relax option for travelers heading to the Grand Canyon's North Rim, roughly 80 miles south via Highway 89A and Highway 67. It's a straightforward Hilton property with the chain's usual comforts done well: an indoor pool and hot tub kept genuinely warm, a small gym, a snack shop, and free hot breakfast that reviewers consistently call the standout of the stay. Rooms come with the standard king or double-queen setup, microwave, and mini-fridge, and the hotel is pet-friendly if you're road-tripping with a dog.

Why guests keep coming back

  • 4.3 rating across 1,034 reviews — a big sample size for a small-town hotel, and consistent
  • Front desk staff get called out repeatedly for genuine helpfulness, including area recommendations and early-morning breakfast-to-go bags for hikers heading out before dawn
  • Clean, well-maintained rooms with reliably comfortable beds
  • Heated indoor pool, popular with families after a day exploring the canyon or nearby Zion and Bryce

Kanab puts you within striking distance of more than just the North Rim — Zion, Bryce, and the Vermilion Cliffs area are all reachable from here too, which makes this a smart home base if you're stringing together multiple parks on one trip. Book ahead in peak summer and fall, when Kanab's hotel inventory fills up fast with canyon-bound travelers.

It is awesome! Every single person that works here is very nice professional! Breakfast this morning was great! The whole hotel is extremely clean! Will definitely stay here again! I only have one minor complaint, the outlets on the nightstand are a little too loose for most things that need to be plugged in but we figured it out. That's all

The room was great; at breakfast, the coffee was only refilled after being pointed out, but once it was empty, it was usually done quickly. The location was perfect for excursions to the nearby national parks.
