The ADA Room was a bathtub that had a very slick bottom that made it very dangerous to use. Even my able-bodies spouse had their feet slip and warned me. I called the front desk for a bath mat but they had already given all of the mats away to other guests. Being unable to shower, I asked for some sort of compensation. The front desk clerk got the manager and they said they would comp the room. The General Manager, Dominique Becay (got name from card at front desk), called back and said there would be no compensation. When I said that was unacceptable, the GM pretty much said that I could use the shower chair. I cannot use those. I can stand with aids, but unable to get up from a sitting position in a shower. I said the room is not ADA compliant with a tub that is so slippery. The GM said the room met ADA requirements and refused to honor the promised compensation -- net even measly Hilton Points. They just apologized and said "Have a nice day" with an insincere tone and ended the conversation. FOR PERSONAL INJURY LAWYERS: The GM was made aware that they need to keep bath mats in the ADA rooms and I informed them that the tubs without them are dangerous and someone would get injured. I suggested they go out and buy some more bath mats. This is not a hotel I would ever stay at again with the uncaring attitude of the GM. I'm no longer willing to support Hilton when they have GMs like this. Disabled travelers should also avoid this hotel.
