About

Lee's Ferry Lodge sits on Highway 89A in Marble Canyon, in the high-desert country between the Vermilion Cliffs and the Colorado River. It's a small, rustic property with a lot of character — renovated motel rooms and a couple of roomier vacation-rental units, each with its own personality rather than cookie-cutter decor. There's no full-time restaurant on site, but the guest kitchen is stocked and available 24/7, and the on-site tavern pours a cold beer and has a pool table and darts for evenings when you're not out chasing condors or fish.

What guests notice

  • Manager Brady comes up again and again in reviews as a genuine local resource for hiking and sightseeing tips in the area.
  • No full-time restaurant on site — the guest kitchen is open 24/7 and well stocked, and a few restaurants are about 3 miles off in either direction on 89A.
  • The tavern has a bar with pool and darts for guests who'd rather stay put.
  • Rooms run rustic and a bit weathered in a good way — reviewers call it cozy and casual rather than polished, with peaceful grounds and a shared garden.

This stretch of 89A near Lees Ferry is also known for California condor sightings, and more than one guest has watched them from the property. It's a solid, no-frills base for river-runners, anglers, and anyone working through the Marble Canyon-to-North Rim corridor.

We stayed here for two nights total, on a Thursday night before we left Lees Ferry and a Saturday after our paddleboard camping trip and we LOVED this place. It’s so clean and we loved the stocked community kitchen with tons of ice! The rooms were sparkling clean and super comfy, and it’s was so quiet and peaceful.

We stayed here for one night and had room 4. The location is nice and decorated in a Western style. Check-in and check-out are super easy. We didn't like room 4 as much, being right next to the tavern and the interstate. The tavern's air conditioning unit is right in front of you, and it's quite loud and large. When a truck drove past on the interstate, it felt like the whole room shook, and it was very noisy. The room itself was nice and big enough. The bed was very comfortable, but it creaked with every little movement. This woke us up several times during the night. The bathroom was small but very charming with its stone walls. Unfortunately, the shower curtain didn't do much good. When you shower, you end up flooding half the bathroom. It was okay for one night, but we felt it was a bit expensive for what we got.
