Freshly renovated rooms on Route 66, steps from the Grand Canyon Railway depot
Majestic Canyon Lodge, a Dazzler Select by Wyndham, sits right on Route 66 in Williams, the historic town that's the departure point for the Grand Canyon Railway. It's a straightforward, budget-friendly stop for travelers staging a canyon trip, and recent guests have been surprised by how much lodge delivers for the price.
Reviewers consistently mention freshly renovated rooms that are clean and spacious, with one guest noting the room "had a microwave" and felt more like a 3-star stay than the property's budget rating suggested. Others point to friendly staff, plentiful towels, and fresh coffee and water available on site. The lodge currently holds a 5.0 rating on Google from recent reviewers, several of whom said they'd book again.
It won't compete with in-park lodging for canyon views, but as a Williams stopover it's earning better word of mouth than its category suggests.

We needed a place to stay on our trip out West. This place was 50-100 dollars cheaper than anything around and was available late at night. I was worried by the size that it wouldn't have availability, but they did and the lady at the counter was so sweet and helpful. The room was very nice and clean and recently updated! Book it after seeing the Grand Canyon rather than driving around to other chain hotels.

Recently remodeled and was very comfy and a great deal. We’ll definitely stay there again.

Came here after a disappointing experience with another hotel service, and we were very pleased with everything we found at Majestic Canyon Lodge! The staff at the reception desk were professional and courteous, and they had a free coffee that made tasty and enjoyable coffee, with options for hot chocolate or vanilla. It was a smaller property with few rooms, but the rooms were spacious, clean, and had no off-putting odors. The ice maker was on the first floor, and we were provided with the usual Keurig, fridge, microwave, and TV set up. The bathroom was small and the door didn't close shut, however the water was hot and they included body wash, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, and hand soap instead of just a small bar soap. There wasn't a door to the shower either, so water kind of flies everywhere. The king sized bed we had was comfy too, even if the pillows were a bit too fluffy for our liking. A continental breakfast was not available here, but within 2 minutes you can walk to Taco Bell or McDonald's, which was still convenient for us. You could also hear a train running and bellowing in the distance, but this didn't keep us from falling asleep. This is a hotel my better half and I would love to return to on our next trip to the Grand Canyon. And the best part, there weren't any bugs to be found!
