About

The Ramada by Wyndham Williams/Grand Canyon Area is a straightforward, family-friendly hotel in Williams, the Route 66 town that serves as the departure point for the Grand Canyon Railway. With 2,312 Google reviews and a 3.8 rating, it's a well-worn, well-reviewed option for travelers who want a comfortable room without the price tag of in-park lodging.

Rooms and amenities

The hotel offers standard rooms and multi-bedroom suites — reviewers mention spacious two-bedroom suites with a separate living area for families or groups. Expect an indoor pool and jacuzzi, 24/7 coffee in the lobby, and an attached steakhouse and bar on site. Several guests note the building shows its age, but rooms are consistently described as clean and comfortable, with a few calling out especially strong water pressure and good sleep quality.

Good to know

  • Location: 950 N Grand Canyon Blvd, Williams — reviewers highlight the easy walk to the Grand Canyon Railway depot and to Bearizona
  • Dining: the adjacent Rodeo steakhouse gets praise for food and service; there's no complimentary breakfast, so plan for the restaurant or one of downtown Williams' small-business breakfast spots
  • Best for: families and groups needing extra beds or a suite layout

It won't win style points, but for a convenient, value-priced base before or after a Grand Canyon Railway trip, it delivers on the basics.

While corporate at Wyndham failed to honor their price match guarantee, the manager on site used her discretion to match the rates I had found online. I greatly appreciate her willingness to work with us and fulfill the company’s promise where the corporate entities were focused on their bottom line instead of customer service. Additionally, the front desk staff were incredibly kind and helpful multiple times across our stay. The room itself was appropriately sized and set up for a 3 star hotel. Clean, sound and serviceable, although a little worn. The indoor pool and jacuzzi were delightful - especially the extra large jacuzzi! Everything was clean, stocked and well cared for. Kudos to the staff!

This was the worst place we stayed on our trip. Absolutely filthy. Cigarette butt on the floor in our room, smelled like smoke. Looked like the bed was slept in.Requested a different room. At least the desk clerk was helpful and gave us a different room. Obviously housekeeping is lacking.
