About

voco Flagstaff by IHG sits in the Woodlands Village area on the south side of town, a modern, recently remodeled option for anyone using Flagstaff as a base before or after a Grand Canyon run. With a 4.4 rating from 230 Google reviews, it's built a strong reputation fast, and the pattern in the reviews is consistent: clean, stylishly decorated rooms and a staff that gets singled out by name again and again.

What guests notice

Reviewers repeatedly point to the same things: a spacious, modern lobby with a genuine "hip" vibe, a lobby bar with a happy hour that gets praised for both drinks and food, and a breakfast cafe serving items like Greek yogurt with strawberries alongside solid espresso drinks in the room. Rooms come with large TVs and in-room espresso machines, and guests who request upper floors facing the mountains mention views of Humphreys Peak. A few reviews note some traffic noise on lower floors facing the road.

  • Rating: 4.4 stars (230 Google reviews)
  • Location: 2735 S Woodlands Village Blvd, Flagstaff — convenient to local dining and attractions
  • Good to know: recently remodeled rooms and lobby; on-site cafe and lobby bar

For a South Rim trip, Flagstaff sits roughly 80 miles south of the park, making it a practical overnight stop with a broader dining and lodging scene than the smaller gateway towns — and this one's remodel and attentive staff are a big part of why it's earned repeat guests.

Hands down one of the nicest places I’ve stopped in my 80,000 miles of traveling around. Tons of perks, great showers great linens, great towels… Have nothing bad to say about this place and would definitely be back

This is either brand new or newly renovated, so everything is nice and clean. It was reasonbly priced, so it wasn't surprising to find they had neither a gym or a pool. We just wanted a place to spend one night with a comfortable bed and a decent bathroom, and this provided both.

My wife and I stayed here recently as I had some points to use of lose with IHG. I have never stayed at this brand of hotel previously. I found the service to be attentive and the rooms to be clean and comfortable; possibly the best shower I have had in a hotel in some time. The charge for parking I felt was inappropriate and the breakfast was not very good. Overall I think this is probably a good value.
