Trendy collection of seasonal permanent tents in the desert featuring a picnic area & a fire pit.
Wander Camp is a small cluster of permanent canvas tents set up in the high desert outside Williams, and it's built for people who want the stars-and-firepit version of camping without pitching a tent themselves. Reviewers consistently call out the setting — remote, quiet, and genuinely dark at night — along with a 4.6 rating from over 1,000 reviews, which is a strong showing for a seasonal glamping property.
Rooms are spacious, furnished tents rather than bare canvas — guests describe comfortable beds and clean, well-kept interiors. A communal picnic and fire-pit area anchors the property, and an on-site food truck covers meals, which reviewers note is convenient given how far the camp sits from restaurants (though it runs pricier than you'd expect, if still cheaper than dining inside the park). The walk to shared bathroom facilities is easy enough for adults but has been flagged as a bit far for young kids.
It's not a luxury resort, and it's not trying to be — it's a comfortable, staffed basecamp for a night or two under genuinely dark skies. Book ahead, since tent counts are limited and it draws steady traffic during canyon season.

Amazing experience. Host Bella and chef Paul were very nice and welcoming. We only stayed for a night but I would definitely go back or to other locations. Very home vibes, the only thing was the 1 1/2 unpaved dirt road you had to go down to get to the camp. Just a disclaimer for cars. But besides that we had an excellent stay. The tent was just what we were looking for and kept us cozy for the night!
