GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK MAP
Toggle camping, lodging, dining, trailheads, and park info on an interactive map — plus entrances, visitor centers, and overlooks. Free.
How to use this map
Every pin type is its own layer — tap a chip above the map to show or hide it. Start with Entrances, Visitor Centers, and Landmarks to get oriented, then turn on Camping or Lodging to see how close a place actually is to where you'll spend your days. Trailheads and Parks & Visitor Info are off by default — flip them on once you've narrowed things down.
Still working out the rest of the layout? Our guide to the South Rim's layout covers how the entrances, village, and viewpoints actually connect.
Grand Canyon National Park Map FAQ
Does this map show the actual trails, or just pins?
Right now it plots trailheads, listings, and park infrastructure as pins -- not the literal trail line on the ground. Real trail-line overlays are on our roadmap as we backfill trail geometry for more hikes.
Does this cover the South Rim, North Rim, or both?
This map covers the South Rim, where the vast majority of visitors go and where nearly all of our listings are concentrated. The North Rim is a separate, much less-visited section over 200 miles away by road.
Which entrance should I use?
The South Entrance (via Tusayan) is the main route from Williams and Flagstaff. The East Entrance (Desert View) is the way in from Cameron and US-89, and passes the Desert View Watchtower first.
Why are Trailheads and Parks & Visitor Info off by default?
The South Rim has a lot of trailheads and park-info listings -- showing every layer at once on load gets cluttered fast. Tap a layer's chip above the map to turn it on.
Can I use this to plan where to stay?
Yes -- turn on Lodging and/or Camping and compare pins against the entrances and overlooks to judge how close (or far) a property really is from where you'll spend your day.
